About Me

It's Not always about me, but this time it is... just for a little bit.

Most people call me Vicky....

... but maybe it's because that's my name.

In May 2006, I received my BS in Communication, with an Advertising concentration, and a minor in Marketing, from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Two years later, I graduated with my MS in Mass Communication and Journalism from Florida International University in Miami, FL. I was also enrolled in a dual program with Miami Ad Schhol where I studied Art Direction.

I am comfortable using both MAC and PC Platform computers. I use Adobe products frequently: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat being the mostly used. I am familiar with Flash, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, GarageBand, more than basic HTML coding, FTP servers, and Microsoft products. I also enjoy learning new things like computer programs or techniques.

I've been freelancing even before I graduated. It's been really fun for me. My favorite part of it all is getting to meet new and random people. I like knowing that I've helped people accomplish their dreams. Every job that I've worked, even if it wasn't a design position, was a great experience for me.

A Few Random Facts About Me:

Art and office supply stores are my playgrounds. I love playing board games with people. It allows for me to have interaction with people while secretly picking at their minds. I have a sense of humor, but only on days that end in "y". My favorite pajama pants have cartoon monkeys on them, those cute little suckers! Oreos are my favorite cookies, but only with milk. I love children's books - they have a lot of creativity behind them. I think it's super fun to read them to children too! Laughing is one of my favorite things to do in life.
